A 73 year- old monk has been murdered in the Maha- Induruwa area in Induruwa.
The deceased has been identified as the Chief incumbent of a temple in the area.
The Police had found the body of the monk with his feet bound, inside his abode at the temple premises this morning.
The body was recovered after a tip-off from a group of persons who had visited the temple today.
The Balapitiya Magistrate is conducting an inquiry, while the cause for the murder is yet to be ascertained. (Newswire)
