Steps will be taken to remove Election propaganda material from social media sites during the election silent period which begins from midnight today, Election Commission said.
Assistant Election Commissioner Suranga Ranasinghe said that Election Commission with the help of social media platforms would take necessary steps to remove any election propaganda content published during the silent period.
