19 coronavirus patients have been reported from the Ratnapura district as of yesterday (25).
Ratnapura District Secretary Malani Lokupothagama said 04 patients were detected from the Kiriella District Secretariat Division, 03 from the Eheliyagoda District Secretariat Division, 05 from the Ratnapura District Secretariat Division, 02 each from the Elapatha, Kahawatte, and Embilipitiya Divisions, and one patient from the Kuruwita Division.
Meanwhile, the Embuldeniya, Pagoda, Siripagama, Guruluwana, Gilimale-North and South, Ketawala, and Mapalana Grama Niladari Divisions have been declared as isolated areas, she said.
Malani Lokupothagama further said that the road from Malwala-Olugala Junction to Palabaddala, Kanegalla to Kuruwita road, Raththurugala road in the Ratnapura District Secretariat Division have been closed since last night (25) due to the spread of the coronavirus. (NewsWire)
