Vehicle import ban likely to be continued along with other import controls when Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa presents the 2021 in Parliament on Tuesday (17).
Vehicle imports suspended early this year in order to control the foreign exchange outflow.
A senior finance ministry official told NewsWire that the ban will likely to continue for year 2021 as well. He said that permit holders will be allowed to use their permits and buy vehicles from the current vehicle stocks available in the market. (NewsWire)
