An aircraft belonging to the Sri Lanka Air Force has crashed in Kantale.
According to the Sri Lanka Air Force, a PT-6 aircraft is reported to have crashed.
The aircraft has crashed in the Sooriyapura area in Kantale today.
“A training craft PT-6 which took off from China Bay, Trinco with only the trainee pilot crash lands on a road near Janaranjana Wewa, Kantale, Pilot had died” Police said.
The Sri Lanka Air Force earlier said it had lost contact with the aircraft which had departed from the China Bay Base in Trincomalee. (NewsWire)
