CCD launches special investigation into trespassing reported at CBKs Horogalla Walawwa

The Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) has commenced a special investigation into an incident of trespassing reported at former President Chandrika Bandaranaike’s residence in Nittambuwa.

An unidentified person is reported to have broken into the residence, commonly known as the ‘Horagolla Walawwa’, despite Police protection.

According to the Ceylon Today, the former President’s Office had said it was problematic that an individual had broken into the house while there was a police checkpoint at the entrance.

The suspect is reported to have broken a glass pane on the door, while three Presidential Security officers were on duty.

Former president Chandrika Bandaranaike is reported to have been at her residence in Colombo at the time of the incident.

The Nittambuwa Police has commenced investigations into the incident, while no suspect has been arrested as yet. (NewsWire)
