Master Blaster Sanath Jayasuriya to play for Sri Lanka Legends

Sri Lanka Cricket legend Master Blaster Sanath Jayasuriya has confirmed his participation for the Road Safety World Series in India.

Cricket fans all over the world will be excited to see the legendary Cricketer play again.

Considered as one of the greatest attacking batsman of his era, Jayasuriya is well known for his powerful striking and match-winning all-round performances in ODI cricket.

Jayasuriya will join once again with his explosive opening partner Tilakaratne Dilshan who will captain the Sri Lanka Legends team.

Former Sri Lanka cricketer turned commentator Russell Arnold, Former fast bowler Nuwan Kulasekara and Dhammika Prasad among several other new faces who will be joining the ‘Sri Lanka Legends’ squad in the upcoming tournament.

The first edition of the series came to a premature halt after only four games in March last year due to the COVID-19 situation worldwide. Organizers have now decided to play all the remaining matches of the same tournament in a newly-built 65,000 capacity stadium in Raipur.

The tournament will start on the 2nd of March and will come to a close on the 21st of March. Sri Lanka Legends will play their 1st match on the 2nd March according to Shyam Impett, who is the manager of the squad. (NewsWire)
