The Police have arrested a writer of LankaEnews website for allegedly making false claims related to an attack on a foreign mission in Sri Lanka.
Police spokesman SDIG Ajith Rohana confirmed that a resident from Kandy named Keerthi Ratnayake has been arrested.
The Police said that Keerthi Ratnayake an ex-airforce official was arrested by Colombo Crimes Division for making false claims pertaining to an attack on an international relations institution situated in Colombo.
Former Airforce officer Keerthi Ratnayake has been a regular writer for LankaEnews website on defense and international relations. (NewsWire)
