Minister of Public Security Retired Rear Admiral Dr. Sarath Weerasekara today opened Sri Lanka’s 600th Police station in Nungamuva, in Gampaha District.
This is the 106th Police station established under the new program initiated by Minister Weerasekara to create a society free of fear and suspicion for the people of this country.
In April last year, Minister Weerasekara annouded that 190 new police stations will be built in Sri Lanka, adding to the existing 494 police stations. (NewsWire)
