Pakistan anti-terrorism court has announced the verdict in Sri Lankan citizen Priyantha Kumara’s lynching case.
“Six people sentenced to death by Anti-Terrorism Court of Lahore in Pakistan announcing the verdict in mob lynching case of SriLankan citizen #PriyanthaKumara in Sialkot, Pakistan (Crime of 2021 December). Seven more given life sentence while 76 others sent to two years jail term” Pakistan Journalist Adithya Raj Kaul tweeted.
Kumara was lynched by a mob comprising hundreds of protesters, including the employees of the factory in Sialkot he was the manager of, on December 3. The mob had tortured him to death and later burnt his body. (NewsWire)
