Govt MPs Nishantha & Milan arrested
SLPP MPs Sanath Nishantha and Milan Jayathilake were arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) today in connection to the attacks on anti-government protesters at the Galle Face Green in Colombo on 9th May.
The two MPs who were alleged to have been involved in the attacks were arrested based on the Attorney General’s directive to the CID to arrest SLPP MPs involved in the incident provided there was sufficient evidence of their involvement. (NewsWire)
