Dollar rate today : Rupee appreciates slightly against USD

The Sri Lankan Rupee has appreciated slightly against the US Dollar in some commercial banks today (Feb 27) compared to Thursday, with the selling rate steady at Rs. 312. 

According to Seylan Bank, the buying and selling rates of the US dollar have decreased from Rs. 306.60 to Rs. 306.55 and from Rs. 311.35 to Rs. 311.30, respectively.

At NDB Bank, the buying rate of the US dollar remains unchanged at Rs. 306.15, while the selling rate too is unchanged at Rs. 312.65.

People’s Bank reports the buying rate remains unchanged at Rs. 305.74, while the selling rate is also unchanged at Rs. 312.48.

Meanwhile, at Commercial Bank, the buying and selling rates of the US dollar have reduced from Rs. 304.11 to Rs. 303.96 and from Rs. 312.50 to Rs. 312.35, respectively. 

At Sampath Bank, the buying rate remains unchanged at Rs. 306, and the selling rate at Rs. 312.50. (Newswire)
