Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath met internationally acclaimed singer Arash and his team at Shangri-La Colombo on October 25, following their participation in the Ceylon Music Festival 2026 at Port City Colombo.
Herath said the meeting was a gesture of goodwill and appreciation for the artist’s visit to Sri Lanka and his contribution to the international music festival.
The minister also commended the organising committee for bringing together international and local talent.
He said the event highlighted Sri Lanka’s growing potential as a destination for major entertainment and cultural events.
Herath expressed hope that more international artists and world-class events would be hosted in Sri Lanka, further strengthening the country’s profile as a destination for tourism, culture and entertainment. (Newswire)
