4 people were killed in separate road accidents reported on Tuesday (Nov 4) in Wellampitiya, Katuwana, Veralabadda, and Tangalle Police areas.
* Wellampitiya: A 22-year-old motorcyclist from Kittampahuwa died after his motorcycle collided with the rear of a parked lorry on the Thotalanga–Ambathale Road.
* Katuwana: A 24-year-old motorcyclist from Hindakardeniya died following a head-on collision with a passenger bus on the Walasmulla–Middeniya Road. The bus driver has been arrested.
* Veralabadda: A 49-year-old motorcyclist from Piliyandala died after colliding with a container truck near the “Y” junction inside the Colombo Port premises. The truck driver was arrested.
* Tangalle: A 43-year-old pedestrian from Koswatta, Seenimodara, was fatally hit by an SLTB bus while crossing the Colombo–Wellawaya Road in Morakatiyara. The bus driver has been taken into custody.
Police in each division are conducting further investigations.
