A business entity in Maharagama has been fined Rs. 01 million for selling bottled water at inflated prices.
The Gangodawila Magistrate’s Court yesterday imposed the fine after the suspect arrested in connection with the incident had pleaded guilty to the charge.
The Consumer Affairs Authority had recently raided the private business entity, after which legal action had been initiated. (Newswire)
