Dramatic CCTV footage has captured the moment a gunman arriving in a car opened fire at a moving three-wheeler in Halpetota, Baddegama, in a shooting that has now left two people dead.
The footage shows the car arriving in the area before the gunman gets out and opens fire at the three-wheeler as it travels along the road.
One victim who sustained serious injuries in the shooting died after being admitted to hospital, while police have now confirmed that a second victim has also succumbed to injuries.
Several women were also injured in the shooting and were taken to hospital for treatment.
Police have launched investigations to identify and arrest those responsible for the attack. (Newswire)
