Sri Lanka Customs has appointed a special committee to recommend a solution for vehicles imported through letters of credit but subsequently denied final customs clearance.
As reported by Ada Derana, Customs Media Director Chandana Punchihewa confirmed the appointment of the committee when contacted for clarification.
The committee has been tasked with reviewing the issues surrounding the imports and making recommendations towards an appropriate settlement. (Newswire)
