Eleven youths were taken into custody on Sunday (29) for allegedly organising motorcycle and three-wheeler races for cash on the Piliyandala bypass road, police said.
Authorities also seized 12 motorcycles and two three-wheelers from the group. The races had been arranged via a WhatsApp message instructing participants to gather at around 7.30 p.m.
According to police,several individuals fled the scene, abandoning their vehicles. (NewsWire)
