An 8-year-old boy died from electrocution while handling a string of electric bulbs at a residence in Settiplam on the night of Feb. 16, police said.
The child, a resident of Velanai East, was admitted to Velanai Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Kayts Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
