Chinese embassy responds to Twitter suspension – says it’s “Double standard of freedom of speech”

Spokesperson of Chinese Embassy in Colombo today responded to the suspension of twitter account of the Embassy.

Earlier today, Twitter suspended the Chinese Embassy Colombo Twitter account for violating Twitter rules.

“Twitter didn’t give any reason to the Embassy for the suspension of its official account. We have requested to unlock it. There seems to be very simple reason, double standards of freedom speech,” Chinese Embassy spokesman said on Twitter suspending embassy’s official Twitter account.

It’s not clear what’s the exact reason for the suspension of the account which was established recently.
