Cricketer Shehan Madushanka further remanded

The Kuliyapitiya Magistrate today further remanded Sri Lanka cricketer Shehan Madushanka till 9 June, for the possession of narcotics.

On 24 May, the Police arrested Shehan Madushanka in Pannala for the possession of just over 2 grams of heroin.

He was later remanded after being produced before the Panadura Magistrate’s Court.

On 26 May, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) suspended Shehan Madushanka from all forms of cricket, with immediate effect.

The SLC said the decision to suspend Madushanka will remain in effect until a full inquiry is conducted into the incident.
