16 national players to play in Army Commander’s Leauge T20 Cricket Tournament

A group of cricketers from the Sri Lanka national team will feature in the inaugural edition of the Army Commander’s League which is set to commence on the 5th of October.

The T20 Cricket Tournament which will consist of four teams will be played over the course of 12 days with the final set to take place on the 16th of October.

The matches will be played at the Dombagoda Army Cricket Ground and Saliyapura Gajaba Cricket Grounds.

Sri Lankan cricketers Seekkuge Prasanna, Asela Gunaratne, Dinesh Chandimal and Thisara Perera will captain the four teams- Northern Warriors, Eastern Warriors, Southern Warriors and Western Warriors respectively.

The four teams will also consist of cricketers from the Army Sports Club.

The following national players will participate in the Army Commander’s League.

Norther Warriors: Seekkuge Prasanna (C), Dasun Shanaka, Akila Dananjaya, Bhanuka Rajapaksha.

Eastern Warriors: Asela Gunarathna (C), Kusal Mendis, Sandun Weerakkody, Chathuranga De Silva.

Southern Warriors: Dinesh Chandimal (C), Suranga Lakmal, Dushmantha Chameera, Wanidu Hasaranga.

Western Warriors: Thisara Perera (C), Avishka Fernando, Dammika Prasad, Nuwan Pradeep. (NewsWire)
