Sri Lankan Opener Danushka Gunathilake is likely to lead Galle Gladiators in the upcoming Lanka Premier League T20 tournament.
Galle Gladiators was suppose to be led by Sri Lanka T20 captain Lasith Malinga, but with his withdrawal Galle team management is now set to appoint Danushka Gunathilake to lead the team.
“We will make a final announcement very soon” Senior Galle Gladiators team official told NewsWire.
Meanwhile Galle Gladiators International icon player Shahid Afridi has not yet arrived in the country.
Sri Lanka Cricket sources said that Afridi is expected to arrive in the country in the next few days and with the 7 day qurantine period he is likely to miss the first game of the Galle team. (NewsWire)
