New semi-automated Roche diagnostics RT PCR- testing machines have been installed at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake.
The Embassy of Switzerland to Sri Lanka said the new advanced equipment were funded by the Government of Switzerland.
Issuing a statement, the Embassy said 39,000 COVID RT_PCR test kits were also donated.
The first of its kind equipment in Sri Lanka significantly increases the testing capacity enabling 1300 PCR test per day with a turnaround time of approximately 03- hours. (NewsWire)
