As per the COVID 19 medical requirements a huge demand has been created for the supply of personal protective equipment. As a result many institutions have been involved in the process of importing Medical and non medical masks to Sri Lanka.

As for the supply of KN95/N95 Masks due to many unwanted and fake dealers coming in between the deals, a very unpleasant and unethical situation has been created where as the importers as well as the buyers have ended up in a dilemma as to how the business could be carried out.

With a lot of research it has been found out that 95% of theses so called resellers are fake and do not have any stock what so ever. Buyers ended up in exhausting operations trying to make a purchase but finally failed many times to reach the importers or the authorised distributors even carrying huge amounts of cash travelling unsafe on the streets. Also it has been identified that most of the products already imported to Sri Lanka are below par and not up to the requested standards and are without any certification of quality at all, which makes  not at all  suitable to be used to escape the COVID 19 Virus.

Therefore all Buyers are hereby informed that all Importers of KN95/N95 have to come together to provide a golden opportunity to all the mask buyers and buyers representatives and facilitators to meet the Importers directly at BMICH on the 17th of Dec 2020. (10am to 5pm at Lavender hall BMICH). This is a step taken to avoid too many parties taking undue advantage of the situation where as the exhibition will provide a market place for the Genuine Buyers , Genuine importers and genuine distributors to get linked directly to get the best quality products from the Importers themselves for a reasonable price.
