IPL 2021 is all set to begin from April 9 with the final slated to be played on May 30. All matches will be played at neutral stadiums, across six different venues — Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bengaluru.

While some teams have already started their training camps, MS Dhoni has also started preparing, both on and off the field. The CSK skipper was seen in different avatars for a series of commercials that have been doing rounds on social media.

In the first commercial, Dhoni can be seen as a monk, explaining to a bunch of young monks how Rohit Sharma got his nickname ‘The Hitman’ and also talks about ‘greed’.

In the second ad, Dhoni can be seen as a teacher, telling his ward how Team India and RCB skipper Virat Kohli’s aggression and records earned him the title of ‘King Kohli’.

Speaking about Dhoni, the former Indian skipper announced his retirement from international cricket on August 15 last year. He will lead CSK in the upcoming IP, 2021.

Dhoni hasn’t played any cricket since IPL 2020 which saw CSK miss out on playoffs for the first time in their history. The three-time champions will open their campaign against the Delhi Capitals on April 10.

Meanwhile, in the opening match, Rohit’s Mumbai Indians will take on Virat’s Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 9 in Chennai. (crictoday)
