India skipper Virat Kohli continued his good form by scoring an unbeaten 77 off 46 balls in the 3rd match of the 5 match T20I series against England, despite losing the game.

His 77* today became the highest score by a captain against England in T20 internationals.

Previously, it was Sri Lanka’s Angelo Mathews who held the record when he scored 73* against England in Delhi back in 2016.

Highest scores by a captain vs England in T20Is.

73* – Virat Kohli at Ahmedabad, 2021
57 – Thisara Perera at Colombo, 2018

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli rather surprisingly, has now become the fielder with most dropped catches in T20Is since 2019. (NewsWire)
