The Sri Lanka Medical Association (SLMA) has called on the Government to prevent the promotion and marketing of the newly launched cinnamon- based cigarette.
Minister of Industries Wimal Weerawansa last week (17) launched the locally manufactured cigarette consisting of ayurvedic components to the local market.
Pointing out the harm caused by any type of cigarettes, the SLMA said this particular cinnamon- based cigarette should not be released to the local market as it has not obtained the necessary approval from the relevant State Institutions. (NewsWire)
