A special permit system has been introduced for confectionery and bakery products manufacturers to import palm oil for their production process.
Minister of Trade Bandula Gunawardena informed Parliament that the special permit has been introduced, despite a ban being imposed on the importation of palm oil.
He said the permit has been introduced to provide relief to confectionery, biscuits and bakery products manufacturers. (NewsWire)
