The Police Special Task Force (STF) has arrested Sarath Kumara aka ‘Cheaty’, a suspect wanted in connection to a drug racket.
The Police said the suspect was arrested while hiding inside an underground bunker inside a house in Mulleriyawa following a raid conducted this morning.
The suspect has been identified as the chief accomplice of underworld figure ‘Angoda Lokka’ who had died while in hiding in India.
The Police said the 44-year-old suspect was named as the 9th suspect wanted in connection to the drug haul of 112 kilos of heroin that was seized in Welagama by the STF. (NewsWire)
