Samagi Jana Balawegaya parliamentarians today met priests and nuns of the Catholic Church of Sri Lanka to discuss the issues raised with regard to the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks.
SJB MP Manusha Nanayakkara said the priests and nuns were briefed on the report of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry and the situation that has arisen following its publication.
They were also given written copies of the recent revelations made by MPs Harin Fernando and Manusha Nanayakkara in Parliament.
The SJB MPs had further made a special plea for the Board of the Archbishop to provide an opportunity for the matter to be further explained in detail.
