An organized criminal wanted over several crimes in the Grandpass, Modara, and Mattakkuliya areas has been arrested by the Police.
The suspect has been identified as ‘Aliwatte Asitha’ who is also wanted over a murder that had taken place on 28th April.
The Police said further interrogation of the suspect had led the Police to seize a live hand grenade from his residence in Wattala.
The suspect has been produced in Court and remanded.
The Mattakkuliya Police is conducting further investigations. (NewsWire)
