One of Sri Lanka’s notorious underworld leader Tharaka Perera Wijesekara alias “Kosgoda Tharaka” has been shot dead by Police.
Kosgoda Tharaka was under the custody of Western province North Crimes division when the incident happened at Rendapola in Meerigama police area this morning.
“Kosgoda Tharaka was shot dead early this morning at Meerigama when he tried to attack the police while recovering some weapons” Police told Ada Derana.
