A large crowd is reported to have gathered at the National Eye Hospital in Colombo 07 in the hopes of receiving the 2nd jab of the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine.
However, the Police have informed the gathered crowd that only health workers were being provided the 2nd jab of the vaccine today.
They further urged the public to disperse as they will not receive the vaccine through the ongoing vaccination process at the Hospital.
Thousands of people are still waiting for the second jab of the AstraZeneca vaccine with the due date having lapsed as a result of a shortage of the vaccine. (NewsWire)
