The Old Boys’ Association of D. S. Senanayake College, Colombo has called on President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to revoke the Gazette notification issued on the acquisition of a property belonging to the school.
In a letter addressed to the President, the Old Boy’s Association of the school said the Gazette notification must be revoked as the development project that was to be launched pertaining to the land has been suspended.
The President had ordered the Urban Development Authority to stop the project, under which a multi-story car park was to be constructed on the property belonging to the school, after criticisms were raised on social media protesting the move. (NewsWire)
