Validity of permits for delivery services extended till 21st June

The validity of passes issued for delivery services and distribution of essential goods to operate during the islandwide travel restriction has been extended till the 21st of June.

Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said the passes were initially issued for those carrying out delivery services and the distribution of essential goods until the 14th of June.

However, as the travel restriction has been extended till the 21st of June, the validity of the passes for such essential services has also been extended.

DIG Ajith Rohana said those who were issued passes till the 14th of June can use the same passes till the 21st of June to carry out their delivery services and distribution of essential goods.

He further requested the public engaged in delivery services and the distribution of essential goods to refrain from misusing the permits that have been issued for this purpose. (NewsWire)
