Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has recited a poem verse about Minister of Energy Udaya Gammanpila’s plight following the recent hike in fuel prices.
“බැසිල්ගේ සෙනග වට කරගෙන තෙල් යුද්දෙ, උදය මැතිදුන් අද තනියම වෙල මැද්දේ,” the Former PM said linking former minister Basil Rajapaksa to the ongoing saga.
The United National Party Leader emphasized that a no confidence motion must be brought not only against Minister Gammanpila, but against the entire Government and parties who gave approval for the price hike.
Speaking during an interview with journalist Chamuditha Samarawickrama, he said the no confidence motion to be submitted by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya against Gammanpila will enable the Government to resolve the difference of opinion within the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP). (NewsWire)
