An Air Force personnel has been arrested over 12 burglaries and house break-ins reported in the Hingurakgoda area.
Police spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said the suspect is attached to the Hingurakgoda Air Force Camp.
Investigations have revealed that the burglaries have been conducted over a period of 2 years from 2019.
Several complaints have been filed with the Hingurakgoda Police over stolen valuables, including jewelry.
The Police have monitored CCTV footage and have traced the suspect, who is a 28-year-old Airman.
DIG Ajith Rohana said further investigations have led to the Police recovering a cab from the suspect’s possession.
