A senior citizen has been arrested on charges of vandalizing an ambulance belonging to the Gampaha Hospital.
The Gampaha Police had received a complaint about the destruction of an ambulance.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle had also filed a complaint that he had been assaulted by the suspect.
Investigations had found that a 65-year-old man from Pahalabiyanvila in Kadawatha had vandalized the ambulance.
The Police said the suspect was also found to have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of committing the offence.
The suspect will be produced before the Gampaha Magistrate’s Court today. (NewsWire)
