The Ministry of Defense says a special investigation has been launched to arrest suspects who allegedly attacked several Catholic statues in Mannar in the last few days.
The Police said several unidentified individuals have attacked a number of statutes that are placed on the roadside in the Mannar area.
They added that no arrests have been made so far.
