Drug racketeer Chaminda Thabrew alias ‘Kaludura Bob Marley’ who was wanted over the recently seized drug haul in Beruwala has been arrested by the Police Narcotics Bureau in Elpitiya.
The Police yesterday sought public assistance to apprehend Kaludura Bob Marley who was identified as the chief suspect behind the smuggling attempt.
The stock of heroin weighing 288.64 kg was seized from a fishing trawler during a joint operation conducted by the Sri Lanka Police and Navy on 31st August.
Five suspects were arrested following the raid, after which investigations had found that the chief suspect involved in the smuggling attempt was Kaludura Bob Marley, who is a resident of Malabe.

However, the Police Narcotics Bureau has nabbed the suspect in Elpitiya. (NewsWire)
