Multiple protests were held in Italy on Sunday (12) against the visit of a Sri Lankan delegation headed by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
The delegation left for Italy last week to attend the G20 Interfaith Forum Italy-2021 held at the University of Bologna.
Protesting against the Sri Lankan delegation’s visit, a group of Sri Lankans in Italy, called on the Government to expedite the investigation being conducted on the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks.
Meanwhile, another group of Sri Lankans expressed their support to the Prime Minister and his delegation.
Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa was also seen greeting the Sri Lankan expatriate community in the city of Bologna, Italy. (NewsWire)
