Sri Lanka Police has released a clarification on an intelligence document circulated on social media about a WhatsApp group related to Islamic State aka IS.
While claiming that the matters mentioned about the said WhatsApp group were based on unconfirmed information, Police also said that legal action will be taken against those who shared the intelligence document.
Several international factcheck organisations had already debunked the information mentioned in the police intelligence document, claiming it to be hoax. (NewsWire)
