A weather advisory for heavy rains has been issued for 12 districts from 09 am today.
The Department of Meteorology said heavy showers above 100 mm can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, and North-Western Provinces during the next 24- hours.
Heavy showers above 100 mm can also be expected in the Galle and Matara districts during this period.
The public has been requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary strong winds and lightning during thundershowers. (NewsWire)
