SL beat Papua New Guinea in WC warm-up game

Sri Lanka beat Papua New Guinea comprehensively in the 2nd warm-up game ahead of ICC T20 World Cup. 

Batting first, Sri Lanka made 162 for 5 in 20 overs. Pathum Nissanka came back to score 76 runs while Avishka Fernando continued his good form making a quick 61 in 37 balls. 

In return, Papua New Guinea ended up scoring 124 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 7 wickets. Dushmantha Chameera and Wanindu Hasaranga bagged two wickets each, while Lahiru Kumara, Dasun Shanaka, and Maheesh Theekshana took a wicket each. 

With this win, Sri Lanka go into the ICC T20 World Cup qualifiers in a positive mindset, winning all the preparation games played. Sri Lanka plays Namibia on the 18th in the opening match of the ICC T20 World Cup qualifiers. (NewsWire)
