The Health Ministry has issued a warning on the possibility of new COVID-19 variants entering Sri Lanka.
Director-General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunwardane said with the country opening up for tourists and Ports resuming operations, there is a risk of new variants entering the country.
Addressing the media yesterday, he stated, therefore, this makes things unpredictable in the coming days.
Dr. Gunawardane urged the public to strictly adhere to the health guidelines to safeguard themselves during this period.
He further said the public must follow the health guidelines in order to defeat this pandemic. (NewsWire)
