Cabinet approval has been granted for the construction of a medical faculty at the University of Moratuwa using funds from Kuwait.
The Government said Cabinet approval had previously been granted for the construction of the medical faculty.
The Kuwait Fund for Arabic Economic Development has now agreed to finance the project.
Thereby, the Cabinet has granted approval to the proposal presented by the Minister of Finance to enter into a relevant agreement with the Kuwait Fund for Arabic Economic Development.
The agreement will see Sri Lanka obtaining Kuwait Dinar 10 million (approximately USD 33.2 million) for the proposed project. (NewsWire)
