The Catholic Bishop’s Conference in Sri Lanka has called on President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to revoke the Gazette notification published on the appointment of a 13- member Presidential Task Force on “One Country, One Law”.
In a letter addressed to the President, the Catholic Bishop’s Conference in Sri Lanka has pointed out that the non-inclusion of Tamil and Christian representatives goes against the concept of the Task Force.
The Catholic Bishop’s Conference in Sri Lanka further stated that the 13- member committee of the Task Force, especially its Chairperson, has been appointed without any consultations. (NewsWire)
