Minister of Power Gamini Lokuge has tested positive for COVID-19.
He is the third member of Parliament to contract the virus in the last 2 weeks.
A spokesman from the Ministry of Power said Minister Lokuge has isolated himself and is currently undergoing quarantine.
The official further said Minister Lokuge is not in a serious condition.
Opposition TNa MP Charles Nirmalanathan first tested positive for COVID-19 two weeks ago.
Thereafter, it was reported that SJB MP Mano Ganeshan had contracted the virus.
A total of three MPs have now tested positive for COVID-19 within a span of two weeks. (NewsWire)
