The Government Analyst’s Department has refuted an article published by a prominent local newspaper on the recent gas explosions.
The newspaper had published a front-page article claiming that the Government Analyst’s Department has confirmed that an alteration to the gas composition had caused the explosions.
Issuing a statement, the Government Analyst’s Department refuted the report and said it was completely false.
The Department further said it had only revealed that a gas leakage and electrical leak at the same time had resulted in the explosion that had occurred at the restaurant at the Racecourse Stadium in Colombo 07 recently. (NewsWire)
